Just in the Nick of Time

This is the third time I have began this post.  Between our horrible internet today and my computer and my 18 month old, I'm beginning to feel like it's a conspiracy.  Not to mention that I was sure I had this all written and scheduled to post. Manic Monday for sure!

The challenge this week is from Freshly Made Sketches.  I used it to create a birthday card for my sister whose birthday is right before Christmas.

I started with a Coastal Cabana card stock, cut it half at 5 1/2 inches and scored at 4 1/4 to make a top  fold card base.  I Added a layer of Whisper White cut at 5 1/4 x 4 inches and stamped the washi tape with the Tape It stamp set in Crushed Curry, Raspberry Ripple and Coastal Cabana.  I love this stamp set. You have endless options of washi tape in your hands.

The center layer is Coastal Cabana cut 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches, I think. I forgot to measure.  I just stamped the butterfly from Papillion Potpourri and cut around it.  The butterfly is in Coastal Cabana with Chocolate Chip antenna.  It's mounted with dimensionals for a little lift.

The banners are in Whisper White and Chocolate Chip, stamped with the express yourself stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink. I made the white banners first and made it folded on the ends, and added the Chocolate Chip because it blended too well. I hope you can see the banner folds.

The inside was finished off with another layer of Whisper White and a greeting from the Word Play stamp set in Chocolate Chip, with some butterflies in the left corner using the same inks as the "washi tape" on the front.

Thanks for looking!
